Combined Hot water and Building comfort system


We are proposing to use a combined system for the provision of hot water to the ablutions (showers) of the depot as well as for the heating and cooling of the office building. The system wil be made up of heat pumps and solar water heaters.

The proposal consist of a cooling only chiller for AC in the building, a heat pump chiller for hot water to supply the heating in the building, and to aid the hot water makeup of the ablutions' insulated hot water tank. The cooling only chiller will provide free hot water to the tank at up to 65deg C, when in cooling mode, and the solar water heater panels will top up the required hot water. The office will make use of air handler units that are fitted with hot and cold water radiators.
